Risks may consist of damage to nerves, skin, or vital organs, infection, blood or fat clots, and extreme loss of fluid that could possibly lead to death or shock. Techniques used for the procedure are linked with complications including profound tissue or skin harm, fluid buildup in the lungs, and toxicity due to lidocaine.
