Miami, FL - Nov 9 - This
November 9th of 2013 Venezuela receives again the title to the prettiest woman
in the planet, becoming the country with the most Miss Universe winners in the
history of this
contest.
Maria Gabriela Isler was
born in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela. She is 25 years old and holds a Bachelor
of Arts degree in management and marketing.
Maria Isler competed and
won the Miss Guarico pageant in 2012. She then went on the win the Miss
Venezuela pageant in 2012 as well. On November 9, 2013, Isler participated in
the Miss Universe pageant as Miss Venezuela where she won the title.
Venezuela is no stranger
to obtaining the title of Miss Universe. Besides their most recent win, there
have been six other women who have won the pageant since 1979. They
are: Maritza Sayalero (1979), Irene Sáez (1981), Bárbara Palacios Teyde (1986),
Alicia Machado (1996), Dayana Mendoza (2008), and Stefania Fernandez (2009).
Along with winning
pageants, beauty is also common among women from this country. Slim bodies, big
breasts, a firmly lifted buttock with a slim nose are all physical displays of
beauty in Venezuela. That is why cosmetic surgery is on the rise in this country. Mannequins
throughout the country display what many throughout the country consider
beautiful. They put down the notion of inner beauty and say that is something
"ugly women" say to justify their looks. Outer beauty is what matters
and that is why cosmetic surgery is so sought after in this country, because
beauty matters.
Women who desire to
become Miss Venezuela undergo many of these procedures to compete against the
other women. Many of the surgeries most women are getting are breast augmentations, liposuction, buttocks lift and rhinoplasty.
There are many reasons why these surgeries are on the rise. When it comes to
rhinoplasty, more Venezuelan women have rhinoplasty surgeries to have slimmer
noses. Many women see slimmer noses as a trait of being beautiful.
In the country of
Venezuela, beauty is a valuable asset. It is strongly displayed in each and
every Miss Venezuela who represents the country in the Miss Universe pageant.
The people of this country consider themselves perfectionist and their beauty
standards are one of the results of those standards.
