Incisions should not be exposed to water; this will raise the possibility of infection. Bandages should also be changed regularly, or as you are told. Leaving bandages on too long can increase infections on the incision as well. Remember to keep this area as clean as possible!

     4. Rest: In a busy world like ours, sometimes it is hard to rest. But after a liposuction or any other type of major procedure, rest is one of the most important parts of the recovery process. Minimal activity and sleep is going to help your body recover at a faster pace. Heading to work immediately after your surgery may prolong the recovery process or cause risks and infections. Make sure you let your job know ahead of time that you will need a few days off. You want to take advantage of all the rest you can get!
